  I think the first thing you should know is that this site is populated mostly with ex-JWs and this site is considered "apostate" by The Watchtower.

  Second, your kids are NOT JWs unless they are baptized, and if they are not it is in your - and their - best interest if they DO NOT get baptized until they are of legal age - Jesus got baptized at 30 years of age.

  for newbies, who was carl olof jonsson?

  he was a jw in sweden who was challenged by a householder in the 1960s, who pointed out to him that secular history books don’t agree with watchtower that jerusalem was destroyed in 607 bce, but instead place the event 20 years later.

  the reason the date is important is because it is the starting date for jw chronology which leads to 1914 as the end of the gentile times, and the beginning of the last days, as jws understand it.

  Taking after Lett... more money going out than coming in. "Things are bad" in Lloyd Land

  lloyd published a video, "things are bad," pretty much along the lines of lett's appeal for more money.. he'll have to let go tbo who does his editing, if he doesn't get more sponsor money.

  he even mentions dijana.

  he claims the defamation has hurt his family.. but he says the defamation suits are still ongoing and will take maybe years since it caused great harm to his channel saying that due to the defamation hundreds of his supporters dropped off because the defamation gave them the impression that he was someone he isn't and that led supporters to think he was misleading them somehow.. you can watch if you can sit through it at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m5hinrjexm4.

  I wish Lloyd Evans/John Cedars discomfort that makes Job's ordeal look like a walk in the park.

  In my opinion, Evans is parasitic vermin.

  As for his bullshit "case", “Substantial truth” is an absolute defense to defamation. Under the substantial truth doctrine, courts will look at the “gist” or “sting” of a statement. If the “gist” or “sting” of the publication is substantially true, then no liability for defamation can be established.

  Almost everything Lloyd Evans is bellyaching about are things that he himself announced in his videos.

  i have from a very reliable source that he attends one of the poughkeepsie ny congregations.

  i think there are 5 congregations there might be worth paying a visit if anyone lives near there..

  Regarding unusual names of towns in the USA: many originated from the "First Nations" (to borrow a Canadian term) names for these locations. They're as real as can be. If you ever get to Washington State, check out the quaint town of Sequim, pronounced "SKWIM."

  I'm an atheist now but I can still recall my former life as a JW. I'm inclined to agree with you. There were some JWs who manifested Agape, but most elders were on personal power trips, and the higher up they are the bigger their trip.

  My days as a JW came to an abrupt end when I learned that there was a pedophile in my congregation and the elders chose to "protect Jehovah's name" rather than demonstrate a Christ-like personality. Thanks, WATCHTOWER! I have been FREE for 50+ years!
